Introduction of Xylo-oligosaccharides:

　　 Major ingredient: it is a mixture of disaccharide -heptasaccharide composed of 2-7 xylose molecules bonded with β－1, 4 glycosidic bonds.

　　 Property: The product is colorless to light brown liquid or white solid, with a relative sweetness of 40% approximately, which is similar to sucrose. With resistance to heat and acid, it will damage after placed in acid with a PH of 2.5-8.0 under 120℃ for 1h, and remain the same after stored in acid with a PH of 2.5-8.0 under 37℃ for 90 days. As it can hardly be digested by salivary juice, gastric juice, pancreatic juice and small intestinal fluid, it is a non-digestible sugar.

Physiological Functions:

　　1. Adjusting gut function: after taking 0.7g or 1.4g xylo-oligosaccharides per day for three weeks, intestinal bifidobacterium may increase from original 8.5% to 20.2% or from 9.3% to 37.4% respectively; in the mean time, harmful bacteria also reduces correspondingly, with colon water (about 80% in normal times, about 70% in case of constipation and about 87% in the event of diarrhea) improved, constipation relieved, and diarrhea mitigated.
