I. Characteristics of Longlive Tangyikang Capsule

1. Prepared by astragalus, alisma orientale and other four purely natural herbs;

2. Eight herbs in the formula are screened from over 50 traditional Chinese medicines based on animal diabetes model in 10 years;

3. It adopts the latest extraction technology and specified solvent & process to directionally extract ingredients with single function according to biological, chemical and physical properties of functional ingredients of each traditional Chinese medicine, thus achieving unique effect;

4. Type II diabetics can maintain their blood glucose within a normal range by taking the product only after stop taking western medicine;

5. The product is capable of protecting and restoring islet cells.

  As western medicine will produce drug resistance, its dosage increases with time passing by, and the longer western medicine is taken, the more serious side effect on liver and kidney will produce. II. Glucose-lowering Mechanism of Longlive Tangyikang Capsule

1. Pathogenesis of diabetes

Insulin secreted by islet β-cells is a promoting factor that transports blood glucose to tissue cells, and diabetes is caused by secretory dysfunction of islet β-cells, or insufficient secretion of insulin, or less sensitivity of target cells;

2. According to three mechanisms of blood glucose-increasing, Longlive Tangyikang Capsule also lowers blood glucose through three mechanisms;

  ① Two herbs are capable of restricting functioning of glycosidase, thus lowering down the decomposition speed of disaccharide into glucose;

  ② Another two herbs are capable of stimulating islet cells to secrete insulin;

  ③ The last two herbs are capable of increasing sensitivity of target cells.

  Common hypoglycemic agents reduce blood glucose in only one way, i.e. either restricting glycosidase, or stimulating secretion of insulin, or increasing sensitivity of target cells, while Long-live Tangyikang Capsule lowers blood glucose in all of the three ways simultaneously, thus achieving more evident effect.

III. Instructions for Taking Longlive Tangyikang Capsule

1. Longlive Tangyikang Capsule shall be taken after stopping taking other hypoglycemic agents;

2. Dosage is different for different Type II diabetics due to their different pathogenesis and conditions, specifically, 5 tablets at a time for common patients, 4 tablets at a time for patients suffering light diabetes, and 6 tablets at a time for those suffering from serious diabetes. 

3. No alcohol may be drunk during the period when Longlive Tangyikang Capsule is taken, and porridge is not a good choice for breakfast, but soy milk (or milk), full flour bread or oat flour bread preferred;

4. Intake of staple food should be strictly controlled, i.e. 30-50g for breakfast, 70-100g for lunch, and 70-80g for supper.
